Title: Senior Solutions Architect

Reporting To:  Sr. Director Solutions Architect & Product Management

Location: Remote, based in Mid-West US (Mountain Time zone)

The Role

The primary function of a Senior Solutions Architect is to drive the technical sales process by working directly with Trilio’s sales team. The Solutions Architect is responsible for all technical aspects of a customer engagement including demonstrations, architecture designs, and preparing a customer for evaluations and proof of concepts. To ensure the best outcome in prospect and customer engagements, this role requires cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Sales and leadership groups. In this role, we are looking for someone that has strong experience in Kubernetes and OpenStack, ideally with experience of storage and backup and recovery.

The Team

The Solutions Architect team are a driven team of solution architects, that can demonstrate practical IT experience, alongside the ability to present a wide variety of technical concepts to peers, prospects and technical leaders. The team is distributed globally, and we work 100% remotely. The team collaborates with the wider remote global team made up of engineers, sales and support. The Solution Architect team is self-driven, bringing in new ideas that lead to improvements in demonstrations, POCs, and in our products. The team maintains (or partly responsible) a lab environment for demonstrating Trilio products, learning and exploring new technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Trilio is looking for candidates that fit the following requirements:

  • Be the technical authority to drive sales of Trilio within the territory
  • Design, architect and present solutions to customers
  • Qualify opportunities for engagement
  • Educate customers on Trilio’s functionality and benefits
  • Identify, analyze, and clarify customer requirements to develop the best technical solution
  • Deliver customer demonstrations of solutions
  • Engage with customers on Proofs of Concept
  • Drive high customer satisfaction by ensuring the solution provides benefits for the customer

Desired Skills and Experience

Trilio is looking for candidates with the following:

  • At least 10-years’ experience in a technology-related pre-sales role
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to present to peers and leaders
  • Ability to provide thought leadership and bring in new experiences to the team
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at once
  • Excellent technical experience of cloud (OpenStack, AWS, Azure, Google)
  • Excellent technical experience of Kubernetes (OpenShift, Rancher, AKS, EKS, GKE, etc.)
  • A very good technical level of understanding of KubeVirt and OpenShift Virtualization
  • A very good understanding of backup, replication, and migration concepts
  • Experience with operating system platforms (Windows, Linux)
  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, and others)
