Trilio Named Leader and Outperformer in GigaOm Radar for Kubernetes Data Protection

Today Trilio was named a Leader and Outperformer in a new report by research and analysis firm GigaOm. The “GigaOm Radar for Kubernetes Data Protection” report reviewed 12 offerings in the market and rated them based on a set of criteria covering market positioning, end-user requirements and technical capabilities. Highlights:

  • Trilio was one of only four vendors named a Leader
  • Trilio was one of only three Leaders in the Platform/Innovation segment
  • Trilio received strong key criteria ratings +++ in Multi-Cloud, Disaster Recovery and System Management
  • Trilio received strong evaluation metrics ratings +++ in Flexibility, Scalability, Performance and TCO/ROI
  • TrilioVault for Kubernetes v1.0 was cited as one of the most ‘complete and advanced solutions for DR, application migration and mobility’

The company announced Generally Availability of the product in July 2020 and it has received technical validations such as Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification and Certified for IBM Cloud Paks designations.

TrilioVault for Kubernetes v2.0 will be introduced in Q4 and will include new additional enterprise-grade capabilities for data protection and migration across clouds.

“The cloud and cloud-native applications are presenting new data management challenges around scale, performance and mobility that most backup products simply cannot support,” said Murali Balcha, Founder and CTO, Trilio. “We engineered TrilioVault for Kubernetes from the ground up to be application-centric and Kubernetes-native while providing Trilio’s core architectural value of infinite scale, multi-tenant/cluster, agentless, and an open backup schema that are critical for today’s cloud environments. The GigaOm Radar Report named Trilio a leader only three months after v1.0 became generally available. That is strong validation of our vision and execution, and is consistent with the response of customers and partners. We look forward to bringing forth even more innovation with v2.0 and beyond.\”
